Weekend

Hi friends!
I got to sew for a while Sat. and got these done. A few more and i will have another wheelchair quilt top.
Added a little border so this would be the right size.
Got some Flannel yesterday and it's in the wash!
Worked on this yesterday while we had company.
We sat outside this morning and drank our coffee and i started sneezing and i'm still sneezing and blowing! Rag weed is blooming and it always gets me.
Hope to get a few more blocks done today , maybe enough to put the top together.
I worked on these Sat. until i made this one! A little wrong but it's a great looking block. Large bow tie with wings! Would make a great quilt!
I took it apart and will fix it today i hope.

Two Finish's

Hi friends!
i finished binding both these quilts last night.
One for a man and one for a woman. Love both of these blocks for quilts.
I will use them both again.
Our Q-Bee's meeting is tonight and i am taking both of these.
It will be good to see all the girls after being out last month. That was the first time out for me and second for Sis.
Her vacations get in the way some times.
I sewed all of these together and now must buy some flannel for backing before i can finish it. Plan on making one more mens and then get back to my Christmas quilts!
Have so much i want to finish before Christmas.

Plans!

Hi friends!
Look what cute towels Dawn HERE sent me for making pumpkins on our slab adventure.
Love those towels! Those pumpkins decorations are so cute.
Dawn sent me some thing  else with her friend Jackie{no blog} that I plan to use in my next wheel chair quilt.
Dawn and Jackie made a bunch of these and sent them to me a few month's ago and I spotted them the other day while looking for something for binding.
These will be my next quilt for our nursing home people.
If I need some more my tumblers ruler has measurements for this size. Their was some extra to mix in so it should work just fine.
Going to round up some male looking fabric to go with the scraps I have left from the fat quarter bundle and I think 6 will be about all I can do. But maybe not!
I need to start on Tatum's college colors quilt and maybe give it to her for Christmas.
Have a good one
Thank the good Lord we are all safe

Storm's coming

Hi friends!
I worked on this over the weekend.
I thought I could get maybe two quilts out of that fat quarter bundle but not going to be able to.
I have just a little bit left , maybe one or two blocks. I will be looking for some to go with it.
I got this one quilted! Then binding sewed on to have something to sew on if the power goes off.
If you don't hear from me just know our power is off!

Craftsy Order

Hi friends!
Last night I did a little hand-sewing and I just about had a tumble on every finger!
That's three , not a good picture but it's hard to take a picture of both of your hands.
Craftsy was having a sale so I ordered some charm packs and the snowmen was so cute I ordered two.
But look what was in with my order.
They are still giving free fabric!

Now I want to stop what I am working on and make a Christmas quilt!!!!!
I keep talking to my self and trying to convince myself that I shouldn't start another ....Yet!
Have a great weekend

Another Block

Hi friends!
Two blocks but since they are 11 inch's I think it will take another to make it close to 35 inch's across.  This one looks bigger but isn't. That means 7 more blocks to make one top!
My sewing room window!  It's 6 foot so it lets in quit a bit of light. There is another but it goes out to the covered porch so very little light from it.
I have mush better light than I did in the dining room.
I got the third wheelchair quilt sandwiched.
Tommy has my quilting table covered so I will have to wait for a few days to get it quilted.
We went to see my Retina specialist this morning and he worked my eyes over good.
But nothing new! Dr. Arkin had told me he saw when my retina had pulled lose and he saw all the blood in my eye in July. But it looks great now so he wanted Dr.  DeCroos to look and  make sure there was nothing he was missing.
Dr. DeCroos saw the same thing and he made me a appt. to come back in a month to see if it gets cleared up ok.
So all my worrying last night was for nothing.
Thank you Lord!
Have a good one

Next Quilt

Hi friends!
My forth wheelchair quilt.
Making at least one for a man and possibly two.
This is the only block that I have made.
Saw this on Quilter's Cache and though it would be perfect. I believe it's a Arkansas cross roads.
My last canning this year, this is more salsa.
I will be putting up more orka but I clean it and lay it out of our porch to dry and put it in freezers bags.
This is why you don't wash fat quarters! But I though this was flannel . It's Not!
You just lose to much fabric that ravels out.
I spent last Saturday cutting out 2 1/2 inch squares for Missy's king sized quilt.
I plan to start it soon but as a leader- ender just sewing them together as I do my wheel chair quilts
Have a good one

Hammer's Sale, Happy Labor Day

Hi friends!
Today was Hammers sale , they only have their fabric on sale 3 times a year and this is the second time I have went to one.
The big beige leaning on the arm is muslin for backing quilt's.  got enough for Addie's and Tatum's quilts and maybe one more.
Three pieces is for Tatum's Oklahoma  Sooner's quilt, the rose and cream's.
I have saved every penny I could since the last sale to buy this morning.
The rest I bought because I loved it.
A closer view!
I think the dark blue may be a border one day.
Have a great but careful holiday.
